City Gigs, City Digs

crush at Riverview

In August, Crush’s Dave and Brad with guest performers Mike Kosowan and Polly Leger hit the Sandy Hill Community Centre to participate in their Archeology-Theme Lunchtime Arts Event.  The group performed under the hot August sun for kids and parents of the Sandy Hill area.

Now, we’ve been invited to do it all again, this time in the Riverview area at Balena Park for the Riverview Corn Roast Sunday September 13 from 3 to 6 p.m. It is an outdoor, fun-filled event geared to all ages where last year approximately 400 residents were fed and entertained!

Crush will be closing out the evening around 5pm with an improv set… about corn? We’ll see.

If you live in the Riverview area, please come and check it out!

…and it happened.  With bellies full of corn and bbq, Crush made themselves at home in the empty wading pool (though it would have been pretty fun with about a foot of water) and entertained a crowd of all ages – though mostly super enthusiastic little kids.  Huge thanks to the Scott Family and Councillor Peter Hume for putting on such a fantastic event!
