Spotlight On…
Created for the 2010 Ottawa Fringe Festival, Spotlight On… is a format inspired by monologue-based improv shows such as Armando (iO), Assscat (UCB) and The Jam (Montreal Improv).
This “long-form” improv format starts with a storytelling-style monologue, inspired by an audience suggestion. After the monologue, players play improvised scenes inspired by the monologue. The monologist then starts a new monologue either inspired by the scenes just performed, or back to the original audience suggestion.
