What is Tumbleweed you ask?
On May 13th, one improviser will perform a one-man set in Vancouver. Following this, he will hop into a van and head East to Edmonton and perform a two-person show with another improviser. They together will drive to Calgary, pick up a third improviser, and so on through Regina, Winnipeg, Chicago arriving in Ottawa May 20th, then on to Montreal, and finally settling in Toronto for the PROJECTproject COMBUSTIONfestival.
Why is Crush so excited? Well, the Ottawa stop is where Crush’s own Cari Leslie joins the Tumbleweed as it continues eastward! Also, Crush is proud to be on the bill with this fantastic ensemble of improv nomads, opening the night for these road warriors at 8pm. Also also, did we the show will feature live CELLO accompaniment by Raphael Weinroth-Browne! OMG. Also also also, following the show will be live music from Nathan Down
